PORTLAND, 23 September 2008 — IDC Architects (IDCA) is proud to be a sponsor at the upcoming 7x24 Exchange 2008 Fall Conference, "The Green Horizon," held November 16–November 19, 2008, at the JW Marriott Desert Springs in Palm Desert, California.
"The Green Horizon," tutorial sessions and lectures will feature practical approaches to achieving zero downtime, assuring high availability, and learning vital market intelligence while maintaining green standards in mission critical environments. Conference keynote speaker James Bradley (Flags of Our Fathers) will share his research into the Pacific War and address the attitude to achieve success, both in combat and in life, citing the "impossible" challenges faced by earlier generations.
IDCA is thrilled to be a sponsor at the "7X24 Exchange Lands at the Palm Springs Air Museum," a social event on November 18th, from 6:30pm-10:00pm, which offers visitors a chance to see WWII memorabilia such as warplanes, artifacts, antique cars, and uniforms.
A frequent exhibitor and speaker at the 7X24 Exchange series, IDCA attended 7x24 Exchange Spring Conference 2008 in Boca Raton, Florida, where staff engineers presented "Economize the Data Center: Programming & Airflow Modeling." The presentation demonstrated how applying airflow modeling (or computational fluid dynamics—CFD) to the data center exterior can provide design insights for interior cooling solutions that are highly sustainable. Come visit IDCA during open exhibit times at our tabletop to learn more about the innovative solutions have developed in the critical environment industry.
The 7x24 Exchange Conference is designed for anyone involved with 7x24 infrastructures—IS, data center, disaster recovery and network/telecommunication managers; computer technologists; facility or building managers, supervisors and engineers. The conference aspires to increase the reliability and availability of an enterprise's information infrastructure by presenting case studies, new ideas, techniques, and tools.
