Dubai Silicon Oasis is planned as an innovation-driven technology community that will advance Dubai's goal of diversifying its economy and reducing its oil dependence. The master plan developed by IDCA creates a synergistic community, with companies and institutions located in close proximity, enhancing business efficiencies while reducing travel times and costs. We also created a business plan that is based on this concept of a synergistic community.

To foster an environment that sustains itself, technology-related facilities are clustered around a central urban core which includes apartments, service shops, restaurants, schools, a hotel, recreational facilities, and the Dubai Institute of Technology. To enrich the experience of living and working in the community, a variety of housing types have been created for employees and their families. Each residential neighborhood is centered on a neighborhood park, pool, or social center. To encourage an active lifestyle, living and work places are connected by a network of bike and pedestrian trails that weave throughout the community.
