We were selected by CNY RPDB to perform an economic/market analysis, master plan, and implementation plan to identify a vision and implementation strategy for the future of this aging manufacturing campus. At the beginning of the project, the key goals for the Carrier Corporation Reuse Plan included establishing a collaborative planning process involving key project stakeholders, integrating the master plan within the context of the existing site and in consideration of market conditions to create an overall development that would be financially sustainable, and developing an implementation strategy for capital improvements that would result in the greatest value and return on investment.

We used a five-task approach in preparing the plan, which resulted in a coordinated consolidation plan for the Carrier campus that supports the creation of a world class R&D business park. The plan improves employee retention and recruitment opportunities while simultaneously generating sufficient revenue to fund capital investments. In doing this, we shaped an improved business environment that not only enhances operating cost efficiencies and increases asset value of the Carrier property, but also strongly supports development of the Central New York Technology Crescent and local economic development initiatives.
